Glad to announce that the Search & Rescue project participated in the 12th National Congress of the Spanish Society for Emergency and Emergency Medicine in Galicia.
“Sea of talent, a beacon of specialty”, is the motto that SEMES has chosen, Spanish Society of Emergency and Emergency Medicine, for its XXXII National Congress. An appointment that this year is celebrated in Vigo and through which 3,000 people and 400 delegates will pass.
Disaster management, the impact of COVID on the population, and ethical issues in CPR are the main topics of this edition. During the three days, it takes place (June 8, 9, and 10), around 150 activities will be held at the Mar de Vigo Auditorium: 75 workshops, 16 pre-conference courses, 54 debate tables, and different tracks.
On the first day of the congress, 15 training courses were offered to health professionals at the Mar de Vigo Auditorium facilities and the UNED. But, in addition, the facilities of the Port Authority have hosted the most significant simultaneous training in Basic Life Support that has been organized in our country. More than 1,500 high school students of Vigo and its metropolitan area have broken the training record in first aid techniques carried out when a person’s life is in danger until they can receive qualified medical attention.
